Fairlie 55 in Cannes

We were already going to Nice, when we heard that Paul Spooner would be in Cannes with his newly designed Fairlie 55.

we met up in the main square in Cannes on a warm September Saturday, had lunch and then went to look at this lovely 55ft boat. Designed as traditional wooden boat with sporty hull and rigging, she is beautiful.

We then sailed Iles Lerins for a few hours, taking it in turns to helm the boat. What a lovely afternoon, and great to spend time with Paul and Duncan.
